About

Hi, I'm Georgie.

- the whole point

Writer, coach, and serial builder of income streams - I help ambitious creative women build businesses that don't rest on one single thing.

Editorial portrait of Georgie

where it all began

My business journey started on a tiny Indonesian island in the middle of a global crisis. I'd just left my full-time role as a branded content editor in London, and found myself stranded on Gili Trawangan with a decision to make: fly home for safety, or finally back myself and build the freelance life I'd dreamed about for years.

I stayed. And I started.

Success that didn't quite fit

I built a freelance writing business, and on paper it worked. But like so many ambitious women, I'd created a version of success that didn't quite fit. I overdelivered. I worked too much. And every penny I earned was tied to an hour I worked, which meant the whole thing rested on one fragile thing: me, at my desk, trading time for money.

So I started building beyond it.

Almost by accident at first - a writer kept asking how I did what I did, so I started coaching. Then a tiny digital product. Then another.

Over a few years, mostly by following the next interesting thing, I started experimenting with a whole load of new income streams: one-to-one coaching, group programmes, a membership that brings in four figures a month, digital products, tools I taught myself to vibe code, events, and a five-day retreat.

Some worked brilliantly. Some flopped. But somewhere in the building, I realised something that changed everything:

The freedom I'd been chasing was never going to come from earning more. It came from no longer having all my income depend on one type of work.

That, it turns out, is the whole point.

Now, I help other creative women build portfolio careers.

Many of the women I work with already have successful businesses on paper. They've hit their revenue goals. They're booked out. They've built brilliant things. But they're tired, a little uninspired, and aware that resting everything on one income stream stopped feeling safe a while ago.

My mission is to help you zoom out, work out what you really want, and build a business with more than one leg to stand on - so you've got more freedom, more options, and far more security than a single income could ever give you.

How I help

Through coaching, community and the things I've built

Through 1:1 coaching, group programmes and my monthly membership, Momentum, I support women who want to:

  • -Build income streams beyond the work they trade their hours for
  • -Turn the skills they already have into products, coaching, community and more
  • -Design a life-first business with the security of multiple income sources
  • -Reconnect with the creativity, freedom and fun they started out for
Your business isn't just how you make money. It's how you make space for the life you want.

Freelance writing

Still a journalist, still a writer

I'm also still a freelance journalist and travel writer, with bylines in Fodor's Travel, The Guardian, ELLE, the Evening Standard and Cosmopolitan, and content work for brands like Tripadvisor and Marriott Hotels along the way.

I mostly write about travel, but also cover remote work and creative entrepreneurship from a first-hand perspective. My writing career funded my lifestyle for years, and it's still one of my favourite parts of what I do - though these days it's one stream among several, rather than the whole thing. Which is rather the point :)

Speaking & podcasts

Talks, interviews and workshops

I regularly speak on portfolio careers, income diversification, burnout recovery, lifestyle design and redefining success on your own terms. I've been featured in Success Magazine, spoken on top-charting podcasts like the Female Leadership Collective, and run workshops for communities and retreats around the world.

Whether I'm talking about slow travel, joyful business, or building a career that stands on more than one thing, I always aim to be straight about what it really takes.

…and the rest

A life-first business

When I'm not coaching or writing, you'll find me swimming in the sea, planning my next trip, or trying a new workout class (electronic spin and reformer pilates have my heart). My business isn't my whole identity - but it's what makes this life possible. I built it to give me freedom, creativity and joy.

Now, I help other women do the same.

I think Georgie is such an inspiration. Her ethos to only take on work in niches that you love and to only do work that interests you is exactly where I hope to be a year from now.
